Connecticut Model A Club Visits Cog Railway July 12, Fun Had by All!
MARSHFIELD STATION, NH - The Mount Washington Cog Railway, welcomed the Connecticut Model A Restorers Club (CMARC) from Hartford, CT this past Summer. The club was established in 1952 by Bill Hall, along with a half dozen other New England Model A enthusiasts, as a way to keep the Model A tradition alive.
Perfect weather was on order for the trip up the highest peak in the Northeast on Friday. The cars were parked in front of the train loading zone at Marshfield Station, and upon return to the base, visiting Cog passengers enjoyed a special treat of milling around to view the restored antique cars, take pictures and visit with the car owners.
As the Model A club left Marshfield Station, they beeped and waved goodbye, much to the enjoyment of the crowd. The club then headed down the road to Mount Washington Hotel for a drive around the resort, then onto Bethlehem, NH for an ice cream stop at Rennell's ice cream parlor.
