Cancellation / Weather Policy:
We generally offer cancellations & exchanges up to 24 hours prior to your reservation. Exchanges are dependent on space availability and are not guaranteed. For more information, or to request a cancellation or exchange, please call 603-278-2259.
We typically don’t cancel trains due to weather. If we determine wind speeds reach a very high speed, we will assess the situation and run reduced distance trips, offering partial refunds or exchanges. This is a rare occurrence.
Ticket Prices
Children Age 3 and Younger Ride Free if Seated on Adults Lap.
One Way Down Tickets can only be purchased at the summit of Mount Washington at the Post Office in the Sherman Adams Building. Availability of One Way Down Tickets is not guaranteed, so please be prepared to hike back down.

Attention Steam Buffs!
For those of you who want the nostalgia of an authentic steam engine ride, we generally operate to steam train specials in the mornings and afternoons from Memorial Day Weekend through Late October.

All schedules, fares and motive power are subject to change without notice. In the event of high winds or inclement weather, shortened trips will be offered or trips may be cancelled and refunded.
