About Mt. Washington
At 6,288 feet in elevation, Mt. Washington is the highest peak in the northeast. Located in the heart of New Hampshire, a trip up Mount Washington will provide the experience of a lifetime. The Summit is a New Hampshire State Park. It has a large visitor center, food court, gift shop and a US Post Office. It is also home to the Mount Washington Observatory with its weather station and museum. It is a major communications hub for the Northeast United States.
