Waumbek Station offers romance, adventure, and a setting unlike any traditional wedding venue. Your celebration begins with a private charter aboard the historic Mount Washington Cog Railway and continues at our secluded mountainside platforms surrounded by forest and valley views.

Waumbek is currently promoted for smaller weddings of approximately 70 guests, with private train transportation, exclusive use of the platforms, and onboard and mountainside photography opportunities. Late-afternoon and sunset excursions are particularly well suited to ceremonies and photographs, subject to the railway’s operating schedule and mountain conditions.

This is a wedding your guests will not simply attend. It is a wedding they will experience.

The Mount Washington Cog Railway provides private train transportation and use of the Waumbek Station venue only. Event planning, catering, beverages, décor, equipment rentals, entertainment, setup, breakdown, and other event services are not included.

Depending on the size and type of event, you may be required to work with a professional event planner. We can provide contact information for experienced planners, wineries and beverage providers, caterers, and preferred rental companies familiar with the unique requirements of hosting an event on the mountain.

All vendors, services, schedules, and event plans must be approved in advance by the Mount Washington Cog Railway. Availability, train operations, and access to Waumbek Station are subject to weather, operating conditions, and the Railway’s regular schedule.
